comic - kalligraphie - abstract painting.
The first sketches here are just a selection of thumbnails I have created.
Actually I think they are way more interesting then the final design and modell.
It will be a challenge for me to get this emotion, a rough sketch like this has to me, into
modell or final product one day_ if this is possible at all.
The image below is already to tight for my taste. To defined at beeing undefined at the same time. I see it more as an graphical surface composition.
Actually quite untipicall for my photoshop style to take a white background. But for these thumbnails it helps a lot to melt the object with the background and create a mix of 2D and 3D appearance. Quite fun these doodels, BUT ME LAZY!! :(Finding the right mood for the car, I waslooking to develope for Lamborghini, this 30min thumbnail helped me a lot. I know still a lot of time for a thumbnail in this rough quality, but I have to say, I´m really having a hard time on these paintings. I´m just not doing my homework enough - lazy boy!

The "S" helped me trying to analyse the character I was trying to aim. Dynamic, with complex elements seen as protection(left). Not overloaded(right), totally protected and armed,with no space showing character - personality.
After the mood was created it was somehow quite easy to continue.

The whole story around was quite exiting for me and at the same time frustrateing. I think I was just too much into the thought process and story of everything to the last bit, that time for design had to run out. BUT, for me it will continue and I will keep working on the iedations to finish it oneday.
The ideation besides the story was to create a design that should later inspire the language of the Lamborghini "artcars", or so called COLOUR-MACHINES.
More organic and positive in it`s appearance and behaviour then today_
still letting Lamborghini be a real BAD-BOYS brand!

The project was a horrible up and down. Just the first week and the last two weeks where real fun!
